Microcredential in Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing

The field of Additive Manufacturing is expected to have a significant impact on industry in general over the coming years, particularly as it is considered one of the pillars of Industry 4.0 and industrial digitalization. As such, an increase in demand for specialized technical knowledge in this area is anticipated. This is perhaps the most “user-friendly” manufacturing technology that has emerged so far, as evidenced by the enormous growth in the domestic market. However, there remains a significant demand for training in this area, as the challenges and requirements of industrial manufacturing go far beyond the often basic knowledge of the domestic (hobbyist) user. Therefore, it seems evident that there is demand for knowledge in the field of additive manufacturing and 3D printing from two distinct audiences: the individual user (hobbyist) who wants to start with the technology, and the professional user who seeks to master the technology and process to leverage it in industrial terms.
