Regional Skills Championship
Overview
                The Valladolid Fair has hosted from  April 7 to April 11, the CyLSkills 2025 championships, in which 210 Vocational Training students have participated, tutored and coordinated by 185 teachers from 73 centers in the Community.
There were 7 students from our VET center, CIFP Tecnológico Industrial (León) who took part in the competition, and all of them ended with a medal, so al lof them benefit from the event. Several enterprises were sponsoring the championships

There were also eleven teachers involved in the context, they were training with the students or coordinating the speciality.
Professional tests were held in 35 specialties that have ended with 99 gold, silver and bronze medals and seven recognition medals for the two exhibition specialties.
Through these championships, the Ministry of Education selects the team that will represent the Community in the national Spainskills contest, which will be held in the spring of 2026, a phase prior to the international competitions: Worldskills 2026, which will take place in the Chinese city of Shanghai, and Euroskills 2027, which will be held in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Objectives
                The aim othe competition is to face real labour situations among students of different centers, with the evaluation of experts from the labour market.
Some students belongs to disadvantage backgrounds, all of them finished very proud of himselves due to the work done.

Implementation
                Although it is a competition the students share experiences, meals, smart talks, etc.

            Success stories
                One of the students didn´t want to go, and he finishing putting his best and winning a gold medal, he was so grateful to his teacher who encourage him to participate.

                Students are reluctant to go to another place for a week, evenwith all the expenses included. Teachers encourage them and train them and finally evryone enjoys the experience.
