Green Building - Design & Engineering (Bachelor)

Description

This is a bachelor's degree program that focuses on buildings as a whole and teaches students how to create modern habitats that are energy- and resource-efficient. It combines the principles of construction and engineering with innovative topics such as energy efficiency and building technologies.
The core topics of the course are sustainable architecture, engineering and natural sciences, construction and building technology, energy and information technology, and social-communicative and economic aspects.
Part of the program is building simulation. Here, students learn about different software applications that they can use to create simulations in the areas of buildings, thermal hygric components, daylighting, photovoltaics, and building services. The simulations give students a better insight into the topics and make them more tangible.
In addition, laboratory exercises are carried out in which students use software to carry out practical projects based on the current state of the art.
