NES (New circular and social responsible business models within habitat sectors to revitalise rural areas) is a pioneering initiative to revive rural areas and empower adults 45+, SMEs and micro firms through social innovation, towards the green and digital transition.
The NewEcoSmart Learning Toolkit is a digital training resource designed to improve citizens’ and professionals’ understanding of smart home technologies, energy-saving behaviours and digital tools that promote sustainable living. It offers a structured set of interactive learning materials, including videos, animations, infographics, quizzes, and practical guidance that help learners explore how digital solutions can improve household energy efficiency and environmental performance.
The toolkit covers essential knowledge areas such as smart devices and sensors, home automation, energy monitoring, digital user interfaces, and sustainable consumption practices. Its pedagogical approach is based on short, engaging, and user-friendly content designed to support autonomous learning and behavioural change.
