Construction Blueprint brings together European organisations and training providers to create a coordinated approach to skills development. It supports innovation, competitiveness and employment by aligning education with industry demands and addressing key challenges such as digitalisation and sustainability.
The project has defined a joint European strategy on professional skills for the construction sector. This shared and sustainable approach is aligned with the industry’s overall growth strategy and supports the sector in addressing key challenges such as innovation, competitiveness and employment, while responding to both current and future skills need.
Key outputs include a skills analysis report, a roadmap, updated VET curricula, an online learning platform and a skills observatory. It also delivers awareness campaigns targeting young people and women.
The MOOC offers a unique opportunity to delve into the challenges of health and safety in construction from a gender perspective. This is crucial to understand the barriers that prevent women from entering the construction sector and making it an inclusive sector in a male-dominated sector.
