IGMA3 – Shortening Distance to Labour Market for Young People at Risk
Overview
                IGMA3 built on a previous project for supporting unskilled immigrants, adapting its methodology to address the needs of young adults at risk of exclusion. The project coordinated local networks (adult education providers, municipalities, youth NGOs, employers) to improve the transition from education to work. It developed a job-finding curriculum for youth and trained IGMA agents to guide integration. Tools were made available via a MOODLE platform. Its success led to recognition as an Erasmus+ good practice by the National Agency.
            Objectives
                To reduce unemployment risk for vulnerable youth through targeted training and stakeholder coordination. The program created networks of local actors to provide joined-up career guidance and access to job opportunities. It trained IGMA agents to connect young people with tailored WBL options and reduce barriers through advocacy and education.
            Implementation
                The project mapped stakeholders in each country to create regional networks. A tailored curriculum focused on youth job-readiness was developed and delivered through a MOODLE platform. IGMA agents were trained to support young adults and engage employers. Youth skills were promoted with job-finding strategies and integration techniques, ensuring sustainability and systemic impact.
