Sanindusa Portuguese language training
Overview
It was created to address the language barrier faced by foreign workers, which limited their ability to understand instructions, communicate with colleagues, follow safety protocols, and fully integrate into the workplace and community.
It supports migrant and foreign workers whose first language is not Portuguese. These individuals often have limited access to education and training due to language difficulties.
It promotes inclusion by enabling non-native speakers to participate fully in work-based learning and professional developmen.

Objectives
Our main goal is to improve the Portuguese language skills of foreign workers, enhancing their integration, communication, and participation in the workplace and wider community.
It supports migrant workers—often underrepresented in education—by providing language training that is essential for understanding technical instructions, health and safety procedures, and participating in further vocational learning.
By improving their Portuguese, foreign workers gain the language proficiency needed to access and succeed in formal training, certification programs, and career advancement opportunities, which might otherwise be inaccessible due to language barriers.

Implementation
Whenever we hire a new foreign worker, we ensure they have the opportunity to attend Portuguese as a Non-Native Language (PLNM) courses. This training is integrated into their work schedule whenever possible, and we collaborate with local training providers to offer classes that meet the specific needs of our employees. The goal is to support their language development from the beginning of their employment, ensuring better integration, communication, and access to further training and safety procedures.
