The Bus Trainers Project aims to enhance the competitiveness of the construction industry by strengthening skills in energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy systems (RES) within vocational education and training (VET). The project focuses on VET trainers, who play a key role in transferring knowledge and competences to both current workers and future professionals in the sector. In line with European trends, improving trainers’ skills in EE and RES is essential to bridge the gap between education, innovation and the evolving needs of the construction industry.
The project aims to strengthen the skills of vocational training trainers in energy efficiency and renewable energy systems.
Specific objectives:
- To develop a comprehensive training system for VET trainers.
- To promote new qualifications and certification standards.
- To support knowledge transfer to workers and future professionals.
- To build a European network of stakeholders.
Bus Trainers focuses on improving the quality of training in sustainable construction by enhancing the competences of trainers. It promotes collaboration across European countries and supports the adoption of innovative training approaches, including digital tools and lifelong learning strategies.
The project develops a new qualification standard (Green VET Trainer), certification systems and a collaborative platform. It also provides training courses, digital resources and tools to support continuous professional development, benefiting trainers, workers and the wider construction sector.
The project creates a multilingual digital platform and innovative training course to support trainers’ lifelong learning. Overall, Bus Trainers positively impacts VET providers, trainers, workers, enterprises and citizens by promoting sustainable, high-quality construction skills across Europe.
