The Women Can Build LatAm project is an evolution of the Women Can Build initiative (2017–2020), created to promote its results and transfer its recognised good practices to third countries. The project seeks to strengthen European Union cooperation at international level. Building on the strong national and EU impact of the original project, its multiplier effect has led to its extension to Latin America, specifically Chile and Argentina.
The project aims to transfer European good practices to Latin America to improve women’s employability in the construction sector and strengthen VET systems.
Specific objectives:
- To promote knowledge transfer between Europe and Latin America.
- To strengthen gender-sensitive training for educators.
- To improve links between training providers and the labour market.
- To support women’s inclusion in the sector.
Women Can Build LatAm builds on a successful European initiative and extends its impact to Chile and Argentina. It focuses on improving training systems and employability for women through international cooperation. The project uses participatory methods and collaboration among stakeholders to promote equality and support the sector’s green and digital transition.
Outputs include a sector analysis report, an action plan, a collection of good practices, and the “Purple Book”. It also creates international networks and visibility activities to promote women’s participation in construction.
