The E-Lit Adults Educational Course is a comprehensive, EU-funded adult learning programme developed under the Erasmus+ project Energy Literacy for Adults (2023–2025). Its core aim is to enhance energy literacy among adults, particularly those facing or at risk of energy poverty, by equipping them with practical knowledge, skills, and behaviours that support sustainable energy practices and cost-saving strategies. Designed as an accessible self-educational tool, the course provides modular, learner-centred content on topics such as renewable and non-renewable energy sources, energy efficiency techniques, household energy decision-making, and ways to reduce consumption without compromising comfort. It uses a micro-learning structure that allows learners to engage with short, focused units tailored to varying levels of prior knowledge and experience. The educational course forms one pillar of the wider E-Lit Adults initiative, which also includes a consolidated research report on adult energy literacy gaps, a networking platform for stakeholders and learners, and dissemination events across partner countries. Together, these components aim to empower adults to make informed energy decisions, reduce utility costs, and contribute to sustainable lifestyles and community resilience.
